The Agency Program
What activities develop creative capacity?
The Agency Program is a 6 week workshop experience into the methods and potentials of design in the forming of strategy, vision and opportunity spaces. We take you and your team through a series of foundational exercises to observe, interpret and communicate extraordinary insight from the world around you.
Once a foundation of method and practice has been established, participants work on a series of briefs in a combination of synchronous and asynchronous sessions to apply the new techniques in a project based collaborative environment. With creative direction from RISD staff, teams generate portfolio grade work and practice presentation styles that surprise and delight clients, colleagues and partners.
For experienced and talented design professionals, simply meeting the expectations of colleagues and clients is neither difficult nor interesting. Lasting design impact is dependent on an ability to guide collaborative design processes that go below the surface of initial problem definitions to reveal the hidden dimensions of a complex and interconnected world. Acquiring these understandings amid the ever-present demands of real-world projects is the focus of this program.
This program is currently offered in either a hybrid or entirely remote format.
