Spring 2021 – Opioids, Care, and Addiction Visual Design Support

March 15 2021 – May 31 2021 (flexible)

Category: Program

Job Description: Students with experience in graphic design, illustration, or film/animation will work under the direction of a senior member of the Center for Complexity team to provide Visual Design support. Students will work in a multitude of ways to support the efforts of the Opioids, Addiction, and Care portfolio. Depending on skillsets, the student will design, layout, and publish reports, pamphlets, studio briefs, diagrams, infographics, motion graphics, animations, visualizations, or other communication materials to support the work. (Publish content as PDFs, print, video, and/or website).

Conditions: Remote work. Due to COVID-19, only currently enrolled students living in Rhode Island are eligible to be hired.

Job Description: Students interested in complex and systemic real-world challenges will work under the direction of a senior member of the Center for Complexity team. Students will work in a multitude of ways to support efforts of the Opioids, Addiction, and Care portfolio. Students will assist in the following: planning meetings and brainstorm sessions; logistical support for a series of studios; prep work, meeting notes, emails, developing briefs; running workshops and studios, documentation, writing, and facilitation. They will also assist with writing/editing collateral, conducting light interviews, desk research, and opportunities for visualization (graphic design, illustration, mapping, photography). Open to all disciplines.

Conditions: Remote work. Due to COVID-19, only currently enrolled students living in Rhode Island are eligible to be hired.
